Wedding card size and printing guide

Choose your printer and paper size before making a large batch. A print PDF is artwork, not a physical printing order. Imagivo supplies a file; paper, envelopes, delivery, foil and printing charges are separate.

Bleed, trim and safe space

Bleed extends the background 3 mm past each cut edge so a small cutting shift does not leave a white strip. Trim is the final card size. Important text stays inside the safe area. Ask the printer to use the PDF trim box and keep the scale at 100%; “fit to page” can change the intended dimensions.

What 300 DPI means

The PDF embeds the artwork at 300 pixels per inch at the selected size. A larger image does not make a poor proof accurate: names, spellings and dates still need checking. The phone JPG is normally 1080 pixels wide and may be taller when several functions are listed; do not assume it matches a print paper ratio.

Before approving a print run

1. Download the paid PDF and open every page. Each function gets a separate page.
2. Check the couple’s names, parents, honourifics, dates, AM/PM interpretation and venue address with another family member.
3. Tell the printer the trim size, 3 mm bleed and number of pages. Ask about RGB-to-CMYK conversion and whether their process needs a specific profile.
4. Print one physical proof at actual size. Dark wine, blue and teal backgrounds can look different on screen and paper; check thin gold lines and small text.
5. Scan the optional QR from the printed proof on a phone. Keep it unobstructed and test the correct guest page.
6. Approve paper, envelopes, colour and cutting before placing the full print order.

These files are not advertised as PDF/X or CMYK-certified. Your printer should confirm their own preflight requirements. Download and keep a local copy before the displayed recovery expiry.
