Muslim Nikah invitation wording in English and Urdu
A Nikah invitation can be warm, concise and specific about which celebration a guest is attending. Nikah and walima may happen on different days or have different hosts and guest lists. Agree the wording with the couple and families rather than assuming one format suits every community. This guide helps overseas guests understand the date, venue and RSVP details while keeping personal arrangements private.

Separate Nikah, walima and reception details
Name the actual occasion instead of using wedding for every gathering. If the recipient is invited to both Nikah and walima, show each date, venue and arrival time separately. If only one event is open to this guest, send a card with that event. A small ceremony should not accidentally become an invitation to everyone who receives the walima details. Clarify whether a meal follows at the same venue or somewhere else.
Use religious wording thoughtfully
The Muslim style uses a Bismillah panel with geometric decoration rather than human imagery. An English invitation may begin with a short phrase your family has approved, or simply introduce the hosts and couple. Ask a knowledgeable family member to check any Arabic or Urdu wording. Do not rely on a decorative font to prove the text is correct, and do not label a template as a religious ruling or universally required invitation format.
Make overseas guest information useful
Add the city and country to the venue address even if local relatives already know it. Give an RSVP number with its country code and a realistic response deadline for planning meals. If you need dietary or accessibility information, ask politely in a separate message or RSVP conversation. If venue access or seating arrangements need explaining, confirm them with the hosts and share a factual note without assuming every Nikah follows the same arrangements.
Check English and Urdu previews together
The maker supports Urdu with the Muslim style. You may keep names in English letters or correct the editable script suggestion before previewing. Read right-to-left lines in the rendered preview and check that an address or phone number is still easy to find. The JPG is suitable for messaging, the PDF is for printing, and the video is an optional introduction. The sample names and venues shown here are fictional and are not customer invitations.
English wording you can adapt
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Together with their families, Ayesha Khan and Ahmed Ali request the pleasure of your company at their Nikah. Saturday, 20 February 2027 · 2:00 PM London local time (GMT on this date). Crescent Hall, London, United Kingdom. A meal follows the ceremony. Kindly reply to your hosts by the date shown in your personal invitation.
Replace every example name, address, date and RSVP instruction with your confirmed details. Do not send an example venue as if it were booked.
Time zones: show the venue time first
Write the date in words, for example “20 February 2027”, so US and UK guests do not reverse the day and month. Put the city and time zone beside the time. India uses IST (UTC+05:30); Toronto and London can change offset with daylight saving, so check the event’s date rather than today’s clock. For example, on 20 February 2027, 11:00 AM in Jaipur is 12:30 AM in Toronto and 5:30 AM in London. Label any second time as a guest reference and keep the venue time prominent.
The maker prints the time you enter without converting it. Its current guest calendar/countdown assumes IST, so for a wedding outside India use the printed local-time details and share your own verified calendar invitation. Do not rely on the automatic guest calendar for an overseas venue. Check any conversion with a calendar set to the actual event date before sending.
